Setting!
The setting of Harry Potter series is located in Britain during modern times. Between station 9 and 10 walls is the entrance to the wizard world. That leads to Hogwart, the school for all young wizards and muggles where they master their skills and graduate to work for the government. It has a spooky darkness mood throughout the whole book. Even though they are not ghost but they can travel through walls, and toilet tunnels.

Theme!
According to Rowling the main theme is death, due to Harry's parents death. To save Harry Potter his parent sacrifices themselves and cast a spell on Harry. Voldemort wanted to be the greatest wizard of them all and wanted to conquer immortal, because of a prophecy he wanted to kill Harry Potter. Through this tragedy is just a selfish goal of a wizard who has magic.
Wizard/Muggle!
Harry Potter, the main character throughout the series. His mother was the famous muggle and his father was the famous wizard. Which makes him half muggle half wizards. His parents died when he was a baby, because they were trying to protect him. When he was at the zoo that is when he figured out that he knows a little magic. Hogwart, the wizard school detected that and sent someone to fetch him.
Hermione Granger: A full muggle, a friend Harry met when he first came. Muggle are species who only has the power. She play the part of a very dependable character, she always gets them through hard situations.
Ron Weasley, a full wizard. Comes from a poor wizard family. He has two wands one is a pass down and one is the wand has chosen him.

The Author
Joanne Rowling, born 31 July 1965 better known as J. K. Rowling is a British author best known as the creator of the Harry Potter series. Her mother and father were both Londoners. Her pen name was J. K. Rowling because she was fear the people wouldn't read her books if she was a women. She wrote the draft of Harry Potters off a paper towel. The idea of this book came to her when she was delayed from a train from Manchester to London. The story of a young boy attending a wizard school came to mind. Then all of the character came flooding in her mind. The first book she wrote it when her mother just died so she felt what the young boy in the book was feeling. So that why her first book was filling up with emotions of the boy not have parents. J. K. Rowling books are inspiring to children at the time when they started abandoning books for television.

Why HarryPotter!?
I love the whole Harry Potter series. Magic is something that can't be define in our daily life. Back in the days I wish wizard and witches were real. I would always dress up as one and make all my little cousins into little goblins. I remember when I was five I use to tell my mom " Mommy, I swear last night I saw a lady flying across the sky on the broom!" but now I realized that my dream were just so realistic I thought it was real. As I grew up in history class they did talk about witches, but not the kind we would see in movies.
